“Having grown up in South Africa
during the apartheid era, I’m
passionate about facilitating
transformative conversations to
enhance intercultural understanding
and the development of leadership &
critical thinking skills among youth
from diverse backgrounds.”

“I am a Half Okanagan Indigenous,
Half Caucasian man from the Syilx
(Okanagan) Territory in Penticton, BC.
My passion comes from my story as a
youth myself. I am now dedicating my
life to support youth to give my life
meaning and bring much joy

“As a young Filipino immigrant, I
struggled to find a strong sense of
community and cultural identity.
While completing my degree in
Criminology, I became very interested
in working with youth.”

“As a third culture individual who
was born and raised in Eritrea,
lived as a refugee in Uganda and now
resides in Canada, I struggled to
find a sense of belonging everywhere
I went. My passion to support youth
comes from my experience as an
immigrant. I would like to encourage
other youth like myself to celebrate
our uniqueness and not be held back
by the social stigmas that are
directed towards immigrants.”
